Public or private industry may request Ecological Research in order to scientifically monitor fauna populations or vegetation communities such as wetlands and grasslands.

- Transect surveys within wetlands to monitor weed cover and diversity between seasons.
- Quadrat surveys to monitor vegetation change in response to fire.
